Alfajo Jallow is a young Gambian painter based in
New York City and an award winning artist/painter from African Youth Excellence
(AYE) in the United States in 2014.
The 24 year
old a native of Sukuta, on Saturday launched his art’s exhibition at the Village Complex (Afriqcars Motor Company Office in Senegambia) the
launching was graced by US ambassador the Gambia, friends, family members and
his follows artists
Speakinf Daily Observer Alfajo Jallow , noted
that, under his drive to use art as a means of economic emancipation and social
change, he was a winning participant of Fordham University’s Study Abroad
program in South Africa, Pretoria, under his brand name ALFAJO ARTS in 2015. “Am
very happy for the support of afriqcars , company and all the those who
contributed to the successful of the launching , this launching is way of
showing the young people that , we can
make in our own country the only thing we need is a focus and determination”
According
him,while in South Africa, he was engaged in Poverty and Economic Development
course where he incorporated his artistic skills together with his academic
background.

The US
ambassador to Gambia, C. Patricia “Pat” Alsup described even another development for young people,
he thanked Mr Jallow for his immensely contribution to the development of the
ART industry in the Gambia, particular, with the involvement of young people.
